  1. Click  the right button of your mouse on your "computer desktop".
  2. Click on  "New" (use your left button)
  3. Click on "Folder" (use your left button)
  4. Type in the name for your new folder; press "Enter".  Your new folder will now appear on your desktop with the name you gave it.

Tip:  If you have problems executing commands with the mouse, observe that when items listed on a menu have an "underline" beneath one of the letters,  you can use your keyboard to execute the command.  For example, if I wanted to choose "New", I would press the letter "n" on the keyboard, and for folder I would press the letter "f".

Note:

  • By using the method above, you can create a folder and name it "Downloads" and use it for saving your files/programs that you download from the Internet.  By having such a folder, it makes it easy for you to locate your downloads so you can open them up or install them when you are no longer on the Internet.
